2. The RUMMY - is another interesting card game people can start playing in a poker party or even when they began feeling tied of playing poker. Rummy is usually played with four to six players, but just tow or three players will also do. It is a long running game so you don't need to keep going on after every round if you don' need to.

Rummy is being played by dealing out seven cards to each player then placing the remaining deck of cards at the center of the table. This is where you will draw the succeeding cards from. Take the top card from the deck and place it face up beside the deck. The object of the game is to make matches of three like cards or three sequential cards in a deck. Each player takes his turn to put out any card they want and place it face up to the cards beside the deck and draw another card from the deck.

If a player wants to have the card being thrown by another player he may get it or any card that is placed on top of it. If a player feels he has matched all his cards, he puts down his cards face down showing his matched cards. The player who first had his cards matched wins the game.

With these two kind of games your poker party is a sure winner. But take note that poker is predominantly a man's game and the ladies are not so interested with this kind of set up especially in a party so try to let your lady guests enjoy some forms of their own leisure things. Besides most women are not used to smoke filled rooms that this game is usually being played on.
